If you’re into podcasts (and even if you’re not), you should check out the journeymen podcast, hosted by Steve Brennan and Bryan McCabe. I had the opportunity to be a part of the show this past week and it was a blast. Steve and Bryan have been friends since they were very young and you can sense that as you listen to the podcast. Steve had been trying to get me on the show for a while and we finally had a chance to do it this week.
The topics of discussion in the most recent episode (15 – Trip to the Holodeck) include Ben Roethlisberger’s most recent allegations and his apparent poor judgment, the iPhone and how many users have expressed some degree of addiction to it, and where technology is most likely headed within the multi-site church (specifically the move from video campuses to holograph campuses). My interest on the holograph idea started with a post by Tony Morgan.
I loved the experience and look forward to doing it again. Steve and Bryan are really fun and we basically had a conversation. Sure, we had a topic to focus on, but it was unscripted. I think that’s why I enjoyed it so much. That’s the style that I like to listen to too. I guess listening to a conversation is more enjoyable to me than just being talked at, and that’s what this podcast is like. Go take a listen. You can find the episode on the web or iTunes.
Check it out and leave some comments here or on the journeymen podcast site.
Ton, As I was reading this one, something struck me… I think just about everyone would rather have an unscripted conversation than being “talked at”. It made me wonder — Does God more “enjoy” my conversations with Him or my “scripted” list?? rather a rhetorical question, I know, but one that popped in my head and I thought I’d share it.
