Ever have one of those days when one thing after another adds to your frustration. Sometimes so many things pile on top of each other that you just shut down emotionally and sometimes even physically. When you look back on the day, it usually started with something small that wasn’t a big deal at all.

Yesterday was one of those days that started with lunch that cost a lot more than I was expecting*.  After that, it was just task after task, technical issue after technical issue, vehicles malfunctioning, and even my tools not working right.  I took some time last night to calm down and relax by paying bills (that’s when you know it’s been  a rough day).

On my way home last night, I made the decision to have a better day today.  I have found that good and bad days start with a decision.  Last night I made the choice to focus on what really matters throughout the day today.  Money, tasks, work issues, vehicles, and everything I do throughout the day mean nothing if not for the redemptive love of Jesus Christ.  What matters is The Kingdom of God.  What matters is freeing people to follow Him.  When I give those things mentioned above to God, He uses them to His glory and my attitude towards my day is better.

Will your day be for better or for worse.  It’s a matter of decisions and your attitude.

* side note: why doesn’t the local Hibachi grill have a lunch special on the weekends.  Everything for lunch cost twice as much on the weekend.
