Father’s Day is right around the corner. This will be a Father’s Day unlike any other for me as it is the first one since that passing of my father. Right now the plan is to go after church to the cabin where we spread dad’s ashes. While I’m sure we will do some remembering, I’m more looking forward to heading out without an agenda and just relaxing. I think if I were to have to come up with my ultimate Father’s Day gift for this year, it would have to be a week’s worth of relaxing without a worry or care in the world. Since that is likely an attainable gift, I’d settle for a new iPhone 4…

I wish I was going to the cabin too! That sounds awesome! It’s funny that there is a special kind of peace up there that I can’t help but notice everytime I go. I’m pretty sure that God has given our family a peace that only He can give, we just need to remeber to rest in that peace on a daily basis!
