There are times when work weeks are long. There are times when all my energy is exhausted. There are times I wish I could just stop but I know I have to finish. There are times that people think I’m crazy. There are times I cannot sleep. There are times I know it’s not my own strength. There are times I try to only use my strength. There are times I receive complaints from long time church attenders. There are times I receive compliments on my work. There are times I wonder if it’s all worth it.
But it all leads to today, when we celebrate the resurrection of The Savior. Today, more people walk through the doors of church than any other time of year. If just one person is closer to an intimate relationship with The Savior because of my long weeks, it’s worth it. If just one person accepts Christ as their personal Savior because of my “insanity,” then it’s all worth it. If I can be used to further God’s Kingdom in any way, then it’s all worth it.
We have had 3 packed Easter services so far at our Wexford campus (with a second venue running as overflow) and one more to go. Our Oakland campus just finished their second service today and has another this evening. The response to Pastor Jay’s sermon in Wexford has been incredible, with a multitude of people raising their hands to agree with him that they accepted Christ as their Savior today. It’s all because of this.
It’s all because of the love of God shown through the death and resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He ransomed us from death and we are made new in his resurrection. All Glory and Honor be to Him.
